Desiccant Chamber is a binaural room recording of a Phoenix R250 LGR slowly removing moisture from inside the walls and ceiling, across fifty-nine minutes. Constant gusting hot air, a humming drone in the lower midrange register and a hazy bath of white noise coalesce in red light on dry surfaces. A high-resolution document of unique appliance-driven physical synthesis, presented here with only minimal parametric equalization, for listeners fascinated with fridge hums, AC units and white noise of the mundane and exotic varieties.
